About Us

The Dry Stone Walls Association of Australia (DSWAA) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to preserving, promoting and celebrating Australia’s rich dry stone walling heritage. Since 2002, we have brought together landholders, wallers, historians, conservationists and enthusiasts who share a passion for protecting these remarkable structures and the skills required to build and maintain them.

Through education, advocacy, research, workshops, field days and community events, we work to ensure Australia’s dry stone walls are recognised as an important part of our cultural landscape. Whether you’re interested in history, conservation, traditional craftsmanship or learning the art of dry stone walling, we invite you to explore our work and become part of our community.
